Good morning,
I have been lobbying Michael Everett-Lane at donorschoose.org for a
year or more.  His organization posts requests from teachers and matches
needs to donor desires.  The group has been very successful in helping
teachers obtain art supplies, books, technology, sports equipment,
musical instruments, field trips, and other classroom project items. 
Unfortunately, NYC was the target for their work; I believed that rural
NY should also be included.  He just pre-announced funding opportunities
for our area in advance of a general announcement for 2007.

help put together a proposal when time allows.
