[Dcmosls] Agenda for April 12 SLS liaison meeting

Hello;
 
Attached please find what I hope is the finalized agenda for the meeting and workshop of April 12 at the DCMO BOCES Support Services Center.
 
I have included a discussion of getting books back at year end. Please consider sharing your policies and practices, successes and failures in this area. There is very little published research on the topic. I have included two brief articles from professional journals representing two views to prompt our thinking.
 
>From LM_NET I discovered that some school librarians do the following:

Hold yearbooks hostage
Hold report cards hostage
Use the school message system to call parents
Posting a list of overdue notices in the school lobby
Enlist the principal and vice principals help
Suspend computer accounts
Not allowing purchase of prom or homecoming tickets

I should have guidelines from NY State Ed. and DLD with regard to this topic by the time of the meeting.
