[Dcmosls] CERF in-kind matching funds proposal

Hello;
 
Please review the attached, and let us know if your school can participate.
It is a proposal for the SLS to provide 50% in-kind matching funding for CERF in '07-'08,
as a first step in expanding operability of the OPALS interface and improving federated searching to all library holdings. We think the expanded OPALS interface, including the union catalog interface, represent the future of catalogs and searching in libraries. We are glad to be in on the ground floor, so to speak. All libraries can participate. Curriculink and the Knowledge Suite are still in development, but DCMO will receive introductory access, and you and your students are invited to participate in the research.
Passwords will be disseminated as they become available.
We hope to present this to the Superintendent's advisory group ISAC on September 12.
 
Please note that a current Member Plan signed by your Principal and Superintendent is required to participate.
