Hello;
 
We need your help. Governor Spitzer in his State of the State message
mentioned “libraries”! That is GOOD. Please take a moment to contact the
Governor and let him know that libraries are of part of the solution
that can make “One New York” a reality. 
The NYLA Online Advocacy Center makes that easy for you. Go to 
www.nyla.org ( http://www.nyla.org/ ) and click on “Become a Library
Advocate” then follow the instructions to send a fax to the Governor. 
If you prefer, you can also download a copy of the letter (on the NYLA
website, click on Advocacy, then Advocacy Tools - Sample Advocacy Letter
http://www.nyla.org/index.php?page_id=514   and send it yourself.
I encourage you to ask colleagues, friends groups, administrators, and
school boards to contact the Governor.  It is important that as he
crafts his first budget we let him know that libraries are part of the
solution!
