Hello;
Do you have a digitization project in mind?
DCMO SLS is on the SCRLC Digitization Committee, and is training and preparing to support DCMO Schools and regional institutions with digitization. Consider attending the June 28th meeting to connect with SCRLC and the Hudson River Valley heritage group, and find out more.
Thanks.

Hi everyone:
SCRLC will be embarking on a regional digitizing program to be called
Tools Of History: Online Access to Historical Materials of South
Central New York. One of the other NY3Rs, the Southeastern Regional
Library Council, has developed a model program called Hudson River
Valley Heritage (http://www.hrvh.org).
You are invited to meet with staff of the SENYLRC on Thursday, June
28 from 10am - 3pm in the SCRLC Annex to find out how such a program
is planned and implemented. What does a digital collection look
like, how do you actually do it, what does it take in terms of money
and other resources, how is the collection stored? These and many
other questions will be answered. There will be an informal
presentation and lots of time for questions.
We will provide a pizza lunch! It will help with our pizza order if
you would let me or Kathleen (kjackson at lakenet.org) know you will be
coming.
So if you would like to see and hear how our regional program might
proceed, come on June 28 to see an exemplary project from New York.
