[Dcmosls] My new position as Associate in School Library Services

Hello;
 
I am pleased to report that I have accepted a new role in supporting strong school libraries in New York, as Associate in School Libraries, SED, in Albany. I am saddened that I cannot continue working with DCMO SLMS in my current capacity. I can genuinely state that I have enjoyed working with each an every School Library media Specialist in DCMO, and I look forward to continuing to work with from my new position.
 
My final date as DCMO SLS Coordinator will be December 11 - I start in Albany on the 12th.
Fran Roscello - who is scheduled to visit with you in DCMO at the March 2008 liaison meeting - along with Pat Webster, held for over 20 years the position I have just accepted . I intend to do everything humanly possible to fill their very large shoes. 
 
I am working with Rebecca Dixson, Ron Pike, and my current supervisor Kerrie Johnston, DCMO Instructional Support Services Director, to make as smooth and seamless a transition as possible. I will continue to be in contact, if desired, to support a new DCMO SLS Coordinator in sustaining any of the programs we have tried to initiate during my brief tenure. I strongly encourage your communications and support in that effort also.
