Hello All,

As I was cataloging today, I noticed in 2 of my new books an ISBN that said California Edition. I did a little digging into the meaning but I only came up with one particular title that clearly explained why there would be a California edition (It was about how to beat a traffic violation that gave specific advice to California residents in 70% of the examples.). However, I can't come up with a good reason for the books I am processing to be different for California consumption. This could be a potentially problematic/dangerous tactic if everyday books are tailored to the state in which they would be read.

Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

Thanks,
Prudence
