[Dcmosls] SLS Council: Request for information

Good afternoon, 

It is that time of year again when the DCMO BOCES’ School Library System
requests volunteers to staff our council.  This is your chance to give
back a little to the library system by becoming involved in its
governance.  We meet (4) times per year with a (3) year commitment to
service. 

Your position on council does not disqualify you from SLS grant
opportunities.  If anything, your input into what is needed on the
ground is invaluable to meeting the needs of all of our librarians. 

If you believe that you can make time to become an integral part of the
School Library System, I am willing to write a letter of support on your
behalf to your building principal or superintendent. 

At present we are looking to seat 4 new council members for 2008. 

Thank you for your consideration of this state mandated position.
