If anybody is featuring "The County Election, 1852" by George Caleb Bingham (7b) from the Picturing America series, the poem "The Poor Voter on Election Day<http://poetry.about.com/library/weekly/blwhittierelection.htm>" (1852) by John Greenleaf Whittier makes a good  counterpoint to the image!
