Hello, how is everyone?  I hope you are having a wonderful spring.  I am wondering how other districts deal with pregnancy leave and the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA.)  Our school is creating a new policy and I am unsure if it is similar to others.  For my first leave I was allowed to use all of my sick days and this time I am  not.  I may take the FMLA unpaid with insurance paid.  I was allowed to use my sick days for the note my doctor wrote.  If you have a minute could you please answer some questions?

Can you use all your sick days you have accumulated for pregnancy leave?
Is this stated in your contract?
Do you have to have a note from your doctor stating your pregnancy leave?

Any information you have would be wonderful.
