[Dcmosls] School Library System End of the Year Awards

Good afternoon,

The SLS is holding its annual Administrator and School Librarian of the Year Breakfast and Awards on May 21, Canasawacta CC in Norwich.  Please consider attending even if you have not been nominated, or you are not nominating an administrator for an award.  The keynote speaker will be author and speaker, Christopher Phillips.  He will be engaging us with Socratic methods of inquiry thinking.  Take a look at his website if interested.  He is the founder of Socrates Café.  These are gatherings around the world where people from different backgrounds get together and exchange thoughtful ideas and experiences while embracing the central theme of Socratizing; the idea that we learn more when we question and question with others.  I have used some of his inquiry thinking techniques to great success in the elementary classroom.
