<DIV>as a first step in expanding operability of the OPALS interface and improving federated searching to all library holdings. We think the expanded OPALS interface, including the union catalog interface, represent the future of catalogs and searching in libraries. We are glad to be in on the ground floor, so to speak. All libraries can participate. Curriculink and the Knowledge Suite are still in development, but DCMO will receive introductory access, and you and your students are invited to participate in the research.</DIV>
